Amalfi

Amalfi is an ancient maritime republic which gives its name to the peninsula on which it stands.

Note to The Cathedral, a fine example of Norman art, located in the historic city center, which is accessed via a staircase in white marble.

On the front, a large wooden door and bronze which is still preserved today in its original form of 1066. The bronze finish of the door is secured by means of nails with head hemispherical a sturdy wooden structure, which are grafted panels decorated with figures and images engraved with threads of silver, copper. From the Cathedral you can go directly to the Cloister of Paradise, commissioned in the second half of the thirteenth century as the tomb of the famous people of the city.
